BELLAGIO ON LAKE COMO
I was quite unsure what this post should be about: how I don’t really like jeans or the marvelous landscapes of Como… Not an easy task, and in the end I’ve gone for neither of the topics.
Just yesterday I finished reading Roberto Cavalli autobiography, and I was so shocked and impressed by his life that I can’t stop thinking about it. This man had it all, and everything was earned with hard work, perseverance and a bit of luck, or better yet, some sort of coincidence.
When I was a little bit younger, say, 15-16 years old, I always dreamed about this “Carrie Bradshow” lifestyle. Writing inspired and inspiring posts on my mac and turning all of this into a successful career was a fantasy I sometimes contemplated on. But as time was passing by, I got my undergrad and then graduate degrees, started a “normal” career in a big corporation and I thought: “Ok, this what I am gonna do now”. However thanks to some coincidences and a bit of luck I started my career as an illustrator and also as a blogger and I can’t be happier or more grateful to my life for putting all the puzzles in the right picture.
Some people ask me what does it take to have a successful blog or instagram, and the only thing that comes to my mind is having a dream and being ready that it comes true. You should have no fear of the responsibility that you may acquire when you become more popular. I know, it may sound quite a cliche, but that’s the truth, and you learn it only by doing!
